Goals

Studios Chant Dubbing

Identify the artistic direction requirements in order to adapt one's vocal performance to the character and the type of production.

Synchronize your vocal performance with the lip movements and timing of the original actor using the rhythm track and studio equipment.

To vocally convey the intentions and emotions of the original actor in a credible and consistent manner with the scene.

Coordinate your vocal performance with one or more partners to ensure consistency and synchronization of dubbing scenes.

Adjusting one's vocal performance based on artistic and technical feedback in order to improve the quality of the performance.

SKILLS

Adapting one's vocal performance to the specific requirements of the audiovisual project, based on the given artistic direction, adjusting one's vocal range according to the character to be dubbed while mobilizing one's acting skills for a natural performance, and applying techniques for managing rhythm, breathing and vocal nuances, in order to optimize the clarity and quality of the performance according to the type of production (film, advertisement, cartoon…).

To precisely synchronize dialogues and words with visible lip movements on screen, adapting to the precise timing of the original actor including in a French dubbing or sung context, adjusting his vocal rate and exploiting the scrolling of the rhythm track and specific studio equipment, to maximize fluidity, credibility and consistency between voice and image.

To accurately and credibly reproduce the nuances of emotion required by each dubbed scene, through analysis of the target scenes, deciphering the acting intentions and emotions of the original actor, in order to deliver a balanced, authentic and context-appropriate performance.

Coordinate your voice with one (or more) acting partner, using synchronized reply techniques, active listening and sound space management, while adapting to your specific needs related to your disability situation where applicable, to ensure credible synchronization in duo dubbing scenes.

Continuously optimize dubbing performance by immediately adapting acting and performance technique based on feedback and advice from the artistic and technical direction, and by implementing a process of regular self-assessment and readjustment including diction exercises, in order to improve the quality and effectiveness of performances.
